Internal Wall Insulation
Similar to external wall insulation, internal wall insulation is a method of insulation designed to improve the thermal performance of solid wall properties. Internal wall insulation is applied to interior face of the external walls within the property, preventing excess heat leakage from the property.
Insulating the internal walls of your home is usually achieved by stripping back the walls and fitting rigid insulation boards. Fitting this type of insulation means that more heat is retained in the room rather than being stored in the walls.
Please note that internal wall insulation can have an impact of the living space within the home.

Interior insulation can create a sound barrier between two rooms. Adding this type of insulation can significantly reduce sound transfer, which helps increase room privacy
Most properties built pre 1930 were constructed with solid walls. Unlike cavity walls there is no space to inject the wall with insulation, therefore insulation is applied to the exterior of the wall. External wall insulation helps prevent heat from leaking from the property, therefore reducing heating demand within the property.
As its name suggests, external wall insulation is carried out on the external walls of your home. While it is not disruption free, unlike internal wall insulation, it is less intrusive.
It also has no impact on the living space within your home and can significantly improve the appearance of your home.

Can upgrade appearance of your home
There is a large number of external wall insulation finishes available, therefore with the right application the appearance of your home can be significantly improved.
By keeping the building warm and dry, external wall insulation protects the building's structure and improves weatherproofing. The finished render is durable and breathable so you won't have issues with damp either.
